Types of donations

Will Aid is able to accept the following types of donation:

Cheques: These should be made out to Will Aid.

Cash
: If your client donates in cash, please send us a company cheque to the same value as we prefer not to risk cash being sent in the post.

Via the Will Aid website (card payments)
: Clients paying via the website should show you a copy of their email receipt.  Donors are asked to indicate the firm they have used when making the payment so we will include the online donations that you have raised on your end of campaign certificate.  You should also receive an email telling you when one of your clients has made a donation online. 

Charity account vouchers
: Will Aid can accept vouchers from the Charities Aid Foundation and Stewardship.  Vouchers for all other types of charity accounts cannot be processed by Will Aid and we ask that they be made out to ActionAid, one of the participating charities, who will encash them on behalf of Will Aid.

Donations are not subject to VAT

Receipts

It is very important to use your Will Aid receipt book.  

Please keep the blue copy for your records, give your clients the yellow copy and forward the white copy to Will Aid with the donation. If your client has donated online, please indicate this on the receipt.

Sending your donations to the Will Aid office: Please send the donations you have collected using the freepost address labels supplied.  If these have been mislaid, the postal address is:

If you are not able to send a copy of the receipt with the donation, please let us know the name and address of the donor.

Please send your donations as soon as you can, rather than waiting until you have received them all.  The sooner the Will Aid charities receive the funds raised, the sooner they can be put to work helping people in need.

What happens next?

On request, the Will Aid office is happy to send an email to confirm receipt of the donations you have forwarded.

At the end of the campaign, we will send you a certificate confirming how much your firm has raised and a newsletter to keep you up-to-date with what has been achieved.
